FM Konstglas / FM Ronneby “Pippi” blue glass bird paperweights – Josef Marcolin

Set of 2 Swedish glass birds/paperweights in the model "Pippi", serial number M-250, designed by Josef Marcolin for FM Konstglas/ FM Ronneby.

The figures are made of solid clear blue art glass with darker blue details and small applied beaks and eyes.

The Pippi model is known as both a decorative glass bird and a paperweight, and was produced in various colors.

Josef Marcolin was an Italian-born glass artist and worked with his brother Benito Marcolin at FM Konstglas.

Dating: approx. 1960s-1970s. This series was originally marked with an original manufacturer's label and therefore not signed.

• Height: approx. 7.5 cm and 8 cm
• Total weight: approx. 530 g
