Italian pillbox with micromosaic

Oval vintage Italian pill box with colorful micromosaic in the lid.

The mosaic consists of small glass pieces/tesserae with flowers in red, blue, white, and green shades on a black background. The box is made of gold-colored metal with embossed floral and ornamental decoration along the sides and on the underside of the lid.

Inside, there is a white oval insert.
